This secondary 3 camp was a brilliant one. It taught us many values such as teamwork, co-operation, team bonding, communication. The camp taught us these values to accomplish success. We all indeed helped one another whenever one was tired. We all pushed ourselves to improves ourselves to be a better person. The camp build our relationship stronger and repair broken relationships.
Upon arrival at the camp, we were all feeling excited and nervous at the same time as we were all new to the place and some of us never had never been to camp before. Our first challenge of the day was to pitch our tents for the two nights that we will be here. Some people did not know how to pitch the tents so we had to teach them. That's what friends are all about! As friends we all gathered and finally pitched all eight tents.
We had many activities on day one. Definitely the best activity of day one was the rafting. they provided us ropes rubber tubes and some bamboo poles to build a raft. It was indeed tiring as the immense heat slowed us down. We were split into two groups and started on the raft. I sure learnt how to have teamwork and help one another. The most fun moment was bringing our raft to sea. We splashed water at each other. It was indeed a fun and exciting activity.
The second day was also filled with thrilling activities but the best was nature rumble. It was nice to see the flora and fauna in the thick jungle. We had to walk in mud and throw mud at each other. Uunfortunately I hated the smell of mud and did not throw mud at my classmates. we were supposed to use mud to draw on our faces. Some of them had funny drawing. It was hilarious.
We were all awaiting for this special night. It was camp fire!! Our principal and our teachers were all waiting to hear our group cheer. I was extremely nervous during our group performance. There was many performance lined up for us. It was humorous to see our instructors dancing. The principal gave us a speech about being more mature after this camp.
At first I hated to come to camp, but after this experience I am delighted that I came. This was the best camp I have ever had. It will be deep rooted into my memories. Up and On.
