Just the thought of not being able to use my mobile phone for 3 days, really made me feel ,that I wasn't going to enjoy the Sec 3 Camp, because to me the usage of the mobile phone was a need. Nonetheless, I tried to convince myself that the camp would be fun. It was the morning of the Sec 3 Camp, everyone came to school with big bags and some even brought their luggage. There was the usual morning assembly followed by a bag check. My form teacher just checked some of our bags and was convinced no one brought any unauthorised materials.
Then we boarded the bus to the campsite, the journey to the campsite was about an hour. The ride there was quite fun as me and a few friends just kept all talking and talking. When we were about to reach our campsite,we passed by many cemetries, and looking at the amount of tombstones just gave me the chills. When we arrived at the campsite,we realised it was a girl guide's camp, but that didn't really bother me because i just wanted to find a place to put my big bag down.
To the start the camp of there was a mass briefing about the camp and stuff. All the Sec 3 classes had to sit on the grass patch for the briefing, and to make things worse the weather was really hot. In fact,it felt like i was going to get a sunburn. After the briefing,we were taught how to pitch our own tents, after pitching our tents we dumped our bags in it. There was many outdoor and indoor activities for the next 2 days, activities which made me get to know my new classmates better and to get bonded with them.
At the end of the camp,i realised it wasn't as bad as i thought it would be and to be honest i kind of enjoyed the camp, a little. In the days and months to come,I would like to get to know all of my classmates better.
